Firewall Configuration and Implementation: Console login for OS 4.0

I have a GB2000e and I added a rule that some how blocked my web access. I have tried to access the firewall via the console but I never get a login prompt.

I believe i have the right config because when I reboot I see the GTA boot info and OS version but I don't see a login prompt.

What am I doing wrong and how to do I get to the login console to make changes ?

I prefer not to reset to default if I can help it.

Sounds slightly odd. If you can see the boot through the console window then you are connected and baud rate is correct.

Once I am at this point, and the boot is over, I simply press the enter key.

Logon come up.

Try this

Disconnect console cable and close terminal emulation software.

- I use Putty or terraterm these work better than hyper terminal

Now reboot the firewall and wait say 2 minutes just enough for it to fully boot

Now try to access unit.
